This was another VAD project where I was part of creating a virtual set for an LED volume shoot to execute real-time VFX for use on the LED Volume.
This project was another fast turn where I had full ownership over the creation of a Carl Sagan’s Cosmos-style set for a humorous Tyson commercial. The client altered the design a few times during production, where I had to quickly turn around new 3D build-outs of the environment over a very brief amount of time for client approval. I was also responsible for setting the lookdev and lighting of the scene, with adjustments made on set for the LED volume shoot. I used procedural and tileable surfacing techniques for the scene to achieve the clean, but believable look of the art direction. My lead, Gennady, tackled the neubala and nuggets outside of the windows.
