Framestore got a handful of sequences for this show. All of the space shots went to London, but they needed a shot to have a whole forest or jungle set extended. On set, there were only a couple of plants. I was responsible for filling out all of the foliage with CG that matched the footage. I also sourced lots of Megascans assets and used speed-tree for the foliage. I did asset upgrading and creation where needed. I did the layout, set dressing, and lookdev of the foliage and rocks in Houdini. I set up a procedural foliage painting system with a lot of natural randomness in Holudini. I also had ways to art direct it on top of the randomness. I did the rough lighting and slap comp once I got the shot working with all of the assets.
