This was another funny ad from Geico.
I was tasked with building a CG version of a robot puppet that Geico used for their latest ad. In the plates, there were puppeteers in the shots, and we needed lights animating on the eyes. I created a 1:1 replica of the head, eyes, and arms in CG. I had reference from the art department and used those stills to calculate photogrammetry that I modeled off of and projected the remaining texture details. Lookdev was done in Houdini using the Arnold renderer.
